hi, i’m kala—writer, bartender, and bad decision enthusiast. Columbia College Chicago gave me an MFA in Creative Writing, so now i’m turning my messy little thoughts into your guilty pleasure. when i’m not pouring double vodka sodas (with extra lime) in downtown Chicago’s nightlife, or dodging bad pickup lines from bar patrons, i’m advocating for sex work, mental health, girlhood, and all of the glittery messes in between. my work can be found both online and in print. think of them as love letters to life, and yes, they’re all sealed, signed, and delivered with XOXO ❤
